Following up on data they released in 2010 of the "draft" version of the neanderthal genome, researchers at Germany's Max Plank Institute For Evolutionary Anthropology have just released a "high-quality" version of the genome. The genome sequence was generated from a toe bone of a neanderthal discovered in Denisova Cave in southern Siberia.
